Chimney Pots is an immaculate little cottage and 4 of us were perfectly comfortable there. Parking is on street, but easy and we managed to park our cars right outside the cottage. My partner is 6ft tall and managed to bump his head a couple of times despite the warnings above the couple of low doorways, but the rest of us who are below 5ft 8 were fine 😁. Beautiful decor and very clean, you would not know that dogs were allowed in the cottage as it was spotless. read less

We did a couple of great walks from the door and enjoyed a cup of tea in the garden - again well set up with furniture and a summer house.
The Merchants Yard was a good spot 2 mins walk away for food and a couple of lovely cafes for a morning coffee. read less

The... read moreFour of us (2 adults, 2 children) stayed for 3 nights and had a totally lovely time. The property was clean, perfectly maintained, spacious and very comfortable. The photographs don't do the place justice, it's much roomier and we certainly managed to spread ourselves out. If we'd had a dog with us I'm sure it would have been very happy too with a large and secure garden along with dog snacks at the ready.
Basically we couldn't fault our stay. The location is perfect to explore the Peak District by car and there are numerous walks straight out the front door.
We'd certainly recommend this place to anyone. read less

You don’t have to travel far to reach a town where you can get decent food, i recommend Finos Bar & Grill and a great little tapas place called Tempranillo.

Claire is very responsive in messaging and is an excellent host.

Parking at the property was easy enough.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice break away for walks in the countryside. Plenty of places to explore and lots of nice villages. read less

The village is very sweet with some lovely pubs (not all were able to serve food due to staff shortages) . We went on some lovely walks from the house along the river and Castleton is definitely worth a visit. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the peaks. read less

Great location and amazing interior. Lots of space, very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated.
Good communication with Claire as well, v helpful and quick responses.

The wood burner was a welcome luxury after a day out walking. The village is perfect, we can recommend the local fish and chips and the general store. We walked up to Mam Tor and headed to the Heights of Abraham. Really relaxing break. read less

The ease of access , surrounded outlook and luxurious furnishings ,made our stay a delightful experience.

It was very neat and clean. The host was generous enough to leave us really nice treats and also had basic things such as tea and coffee available.
There isn't parking at the venue but it was very easy to find free parking in the area. Claire communicated really quickly and responded to all our queries.
We definitely had a memorable stay at Blue Cottage.
One suggestion to guests from outside UK would be to bring your own plugs as we didn't have them and had to go to Buxton town to get them on our first day. read less

We always found a car parking spot in the Pool Bank car park, just a few metres away. There is a lovely little outdoor seating area but unfortunately it was too chilly to use, but the apartment was cozy and very well equipped.
