The cottage was delightful and on a lovely estate. We enjoyed the woodland walk, the cottage had all the amenities we needed and the milk in the fridge on arrival was a lovely touch. Would defiantly recommend. We stayed here for a week as our kitchen was being refurbished, so was a different need than a holiday and worked perfectly for the kids to escape the mess at home!

We had a wonderful stay at Claire’s property to visit family in the area. It was a great central location for our days out.
The property itself is exactly as shown in the photographs set in a beautiful garden area. It had everything we could need.
We changed what time we would be arriving at the last minute and even though this was very late Claire accommodated this with ease.
Great communication.

Fantastic place in lovely grounds. Cottage was perfect for us, very clean with thoughtful touches. We had 2 dogs with us and they both loved exploring the wooded path and it was so easy to open the door and let the dogs have a play on the spacious lawn area. Claire is an excellent host and we would highly recommend staying here. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

A beautiful property - light and bright, clean and comfortable! We couldn't have asked for better - ideal for my elderly mother-in-law as it was all on one level - and super dog friendly - ideal for our elderly Jack Russell!

Claire was very helpful with a couple of queries that we had about the local area. We will definitely stay again when we come back to the area.

Once again, the stay was perfect. Everything thought out for the guest. Large range of toiletries available too, which really helped. It's private, yet so close to amenities.

After a long drive on a cold and wintry day, opening the door to a lovely warm house was so welcoming.

A really beautiful location. South Cottage is very spacious with incredibly comfortable beds. Had such an amazing stay. Claire was always very helpful and even left some dog snacks for our Dexter. He loved the walk through the woods in the grounds - we are already planning a return visit so we can check out the nearby Lyme Park in better weather.

This was the beat place we've stayed, ever, I travel all over for my boxing and this was by far the best, kids loved it. place was immaculte and the host was incredible. very helpful, great for the Mindset and literally nohing or nowhere could of beat this for us this weekend a huge recommendation woul never be enough for how amazing a time we had...

We had a fantastic weekend exploring the local area. The cottage was wonderful and sits on the side of the main house with access to all of the grounds and woodland, all in a very secure setting.

There were four adults and doggies in our party and all highly recommend this place. Claire the host was very welcoming and quick to answer questions etc.

We will return.

The property is ideal for the purpose we wanted - as a ‘satellite’ for visiting family who do not have the spare room. It fully met our needs and is well equipped, clean with a good location and easy access. We would use it again.

We were visiting for a wedding and were lucky to find Claire’s place. The cottage was perfect for our group of 4. It was spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and peaceful . The grounds are beautiful, great for exercising and going on walks. Claire responds quickly to any questions and is a wonderful host. I would not hesitate to recommend Claire’s cottage.

Die Unterkunft war liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber. Der Garten ist super schön. Claire war immer erreichbar. Man hört die Bahn und die befahrene Straße direkt nebenan aber es hat uns nicht gestört und es wurde nachts auch ruhiger. Für Unternehmungen empfehlen wir ein Auto.

What a fabulous cottage situated within a beautiful setting which far exceeded our expectations. My sister and I bought my elderly father to stay at South Cottage which was perfect, accompanied by my German Shepherd and dads chihuahua who had the best fun in the gardens and the wooded walk. The cottage had everything and more than we needed, beautifully refurbished and decorated throughout and we were very comfortable for our few days break. I’m only worried that now I’m home my dog is currently outside thumbing a lift to come back…. Claire I’m sticking her in an Uber - apparently my garden is just not good enough anymore! Thank you for an amazing few days and for being a fab host!

Amazing place to stay - Claire is an fab host with the most perfectly peaceful places to stay! The cottage had everything you needed for a night or a year! Easy to find, super easy to check in and out, fluffy towels and bedding, Netflix!! And some lovely little extras - nibbles, washing stuff, tea, coffee, etc. Just what we needed m, so much so that I’ve booked to come back to another of Claire’s places in a week! Thanks claire and see you soon! 😀

Claire's AirBNB is a gem. It is peaceful set in extensive and well looked after grounds, and safe for children (though younger ones may need accompanying by an adult when finding the secret lake in the woods). Claire is a very responsive host when needed, and the accommodation is really lovely.
